| The Doralice Turtle is placed in La Spezia (sp), right beside its historic public market square. La Spezia is one of the four main cities of the region Liguria and it has been increasing its value in the last years, becoming an essential point for international tourism. All this is been achieve mostly because of its location: as a matter of fact it is very close to the National Park of Cinque Terre (Five Lands), to Levanto, Lerici, Portovenere, to the Palmaria and Tino islands, and also to the inland side of northern Italy like Garfagnana and Lunigiana. La Spezia even if it's not a huge city, includes a thick museum net and allows everybody to have some resting time walking around: downtown, in its singular and characteristic yards placed just along the sea, or even in the inland side. All these areas are also known around the world, either for the fabulous, typical, and tasty dishes you can try, either for the very good and homemade wines you will find. Just to give you a proof that I'm not flying too high describing this place, even huge writers and famous poets like Dante, Montale, Mary Shelley and Byron didn't resist and wrote about the beauty and the harmony of the gulf of La Spezia and all the other mentioned places. |
